David Muir is an American journalist and anchor best known for his ABC news program World News Tonight with David Muir in addition to the ABC News magazine 20/20 for which he's an anchor co-anchor. With animated animations and dramatic videos of celebrity gossip The show is now America's top newscast. Also, he is known for his Emmy-nominated series Made In America. Before he took over ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for the anchor who was his predecessor Diane Sawyer. Some of his evening ABC News specials include Breaking Point - Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint Refugees in America. He's traveled all over the world, report on the news in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has received numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as numerous distinctions and awards from the Associated Press.
